Slovak language used in hotels and restaurants

The e-learning language course for work in tourism, services, hospitality and gastronomy is intended for those interested in working in the tourism industry. Students complete an intensive course prepared by the most effective method in cooperation with tourism professionals. The course is built as a demonstration of practical expressions and situations that you can experience when working in the hotel industry, gastronomy, or tourism.
The course will take you from the basics of the Slovak language and mastering basic grammatical phenomena such as alphabet, plural, pronouns, basic verbs, the present tense, to technical terms and phrases in the field of hospitality, gastronomy and tourism.
The course will allow you to study when and where it will suit you, according to your chosen pace and possibilities. In addition to the text form, the audio recordings will teach you the correct pronunciation and declension of words in the Slovak language.
The course is completed by testing the language competence - test, confirmation of successful completion of the course through a certificate.

Course objectives
• learn to choose from the basic grammar of the Slovak language
• master the basic professional terminology in the field of gastronomy in the Slovak language and be able to use it in practice in the work of an assistant chef and cook, waiter, barista, treasurer, maid and other professional and auxiliary work in gastronomy and hospitality
• manage basic communication with the client, guest, colleagues and employer in the hotel, restaurant, etc., during normal work tasks
